Gomel Economic Forum to host participants from 13 countries

The 20th Gomel Economic Forum, running from 21-22 May, will bring together representatives from 13 countries, Mikhail Akunets, Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee, told the media on 13 May, BelTA has learned.
Forum participants will learn about Gomel’s economic potential and discuss topical issues at strategic sessions covering agriculture, science and technology, artificial intelligence, tourism and female entrepreneurship. The forum will also feature two off site sessions: artificial intelligence in Rechitsa and tourism in Svetlogorsk.
According to Mikhail Akunets, more than 400 participants have already signed up, and applications continue to come. The forum will bring together representatives from 13 countries, among them China, the UAE, Japan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and seven Russian regions.
Around 18 documents are expected to be signed on the sidelines of the forum, including commercial agreements and cooperation contracts between organizations, universities and businesses.
Throughout its history, the Gomel Economic Forum has established itself as a respected venue for addressing pressing issues of international trade, economic and investment cooperation, and for forging lasting interregional and cooperation ties.
