21.05.2026
Yevgeny Rikhtikov, Deputy Chairman - Head of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department at the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee, outlined the exports of construction goods and services from Gomel Oblast to Russia’s Bryansk Oblast on the sidelines of the regional business forum Gomel-Bryansk currently taking place in Gomel, BelTA has learned.

The official emphasized that cooperation between the two regions is strategic. He highlighted the export of building materials and construction services as key areas of collaboration. “An analysis of deliveries shows that construction material manufacturers subordinated to the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee’s architecture and construction committee export their largest volume of goods to Bryansk Oblast, followed by Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and other regions. Based on the results of 2025, goods worth $18.2 million were exported to the Russian Federation, with $6.3 million going to Bryansk Oblast. This accounts for 34.7% of total supplies to the Russian Federation,” Yevgeny Rikhtikov stated.

According to him, the main exporters of construction goods to Bryansk Oblast are Gomelstroymaterialy and Gomelzhelezobeton. The primary exporters of construction services are Gomel House-Building Plant and Mozyr House-Building Plant.

Yevgeny Rikhtikov recalled that in 2025, the Gomel House-Building Plant completed an investment project for the construction of an apartment building on Moskovsky Avenue in Bryansk. “Currently, the company’s leadership is working with the Bryansk Oblast Administration to select land plots for further construction in Bryansk Oblast,” he added.

“The Mozyr House-Building Plant has signed an agreement to implement an investment project for the construction of an eleven-storey apartment building on Burov Street in Bryansk. The construction is scheduled for completion in Q4 2027. On 19 May, builders from the Mozyr House-Building Plant already entered the site and began the preparatory phase,” the Gomel Oblast official said.

Yevgeny Rikhtikov emphasized that cooperation between Gomel Oblast and Bryansk Oblast in construction is at a stage of active collaboration. “It yields concrete project results and holds strong potential for expansion. The export of construction goods and services from Gomel Oblast to Bryansk Oblast is successful, steadily growing, and strategically important. We look forward to further mutually beneficial cooperation,” he said.

The Gomel-Bryansk business forum has brought together representatives of government authorities, as well as business communities from both regions. The parties are discussing mutually beneficial areas of cooperation. A number of joint documents were signed during the plenary session. The Bryansk Oblast delegation is also scheduled to attend the 20th Gomel Economic Forum, taking place on 21-22 May.
