Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov outlined the early outcomes of the Belarus-China Forum of Regions, BelTA has learned. 

According to Nikolai Snopkov, the agreements signed during the forum are valued at nearly $1 billion in total investment. He stressed that this fully aligns with the Belarusian president’s directive on advancing cooperation with China, which calls for shifting from a ‘center-to-center’ model of cooperation to a ‘region-to-region’ approach. “This is because all practical work is done not in government buildings but in the regions,” Nikolai Snopkov said.

He also recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping had previously strongly recommended deepening cooperation between the regions of the countries. “This recommendation is being implemented and supported by all political and economic circles of the People’s Republic of China,” he added.
