Delegations from 15 countries to attend business forum and exhibition in Gomel
GOMEL, 11 October (BelTA) - Delegations from 15 countries will take part in the 13th national universal exhibition Business in the Regions due in Gomel on 12-15 October, Director General of the Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marina Filonova told BelTA.
According to her, the format of the exhibition has undergone dramatic changes. This year it will be co-located with another important event - Business Days in Gomel Forum. Among the participants of the Business Days in Gomel will be officials and businessmen from Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Georgia, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Vietnam, Mongolia and other countries. “We expect 25 delegations from 15 countries. We have studied the interests of foreign partners and have compiled a list of exhibitors - almost 35 manufacturers,” said Marina Filonova.
Primarily foreign partners are interested in processing industry (meat and dairy), construction industry (construction materials), and the Free Economic Zone Gomel-Raton. “In addition, the exhibition will showcase the organizations promoting foreign economic activity in Gomel Oblast (banks, insurance, logistics companies). This infrastructure is also important for business,” Marina Filonova noted.
This year the Bryansk Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bryansk regional business incubator will hold business matchmaking events for individual entrepreneurs and CEOs of Bryansk and Gomel Oblasts. The Bryansk business delegation will comprise almost 20 people. They will have an opportunity to establish contacts with participants from other countries. “This will be another step towards realizing the idea of turning Gomel into a business platform for businessmen from various countries,” said Marina Filonova.
The program of the forum includes a plenary session and five sessions dedicated to doing business in Belarus and abroad, interregional cooperation and cooperation between Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the use of information technologies in business, problems and development prospects of the free economic zones and also support to youth entrepreneurship.
