BelCCI Gomel Office to cooperate with Export Promotion Center of Russia's Kirov Oblast
GOMEL, 20 December (BelTA) – The Gomel Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) and the Export Promotion Center of Russia's Kirov Oblast signed a cooperation agreement at a meeting of the joint working group for cooperation between Belarus and Kirov Oblast. The group convened in the Russian region on 20 December, Spokesperson of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Olga Ryabikova told BelTA.
The document was signed by Director General of the Gomel Office of the BelCCI Marina Filonova and Head of the Export Promotion Center of Kirov Oblast Maria Zelentsova.
The agreement aims to boost cooperation and provide effective support to enterprises, organizations, and companies of the two regions in their foreign economic activities.
The parties agreed to facilitate participation of business from Gomel Oblast and Kirov Oblast in expos, fairs, workshops, and to set up training courses. The partners will submit business proposals on trade cooperation and exchange information about laws on foreign economic activities, cargo customs clearance, export and import duties, and licensing. The parties are also interested in exchanging visits of trade delegations of the two regions. The agreement also provides for holding meetings and consultations, drawing up plans of joint activities.
“This document is very important for both parties. It will enable small and medium-sized enterprises of the two regions to establish ties. For example, small and medium-sized enterprises account for 72% of the members of the Gomel Office of the BelCCI. The agreement will open new prospects for them,” Marina Filonova noted.
