GOMEL, 21 April (BelTA) – The Day of Israeli Culture will take place in Gomel on 22 April, BelTA learnt from the cultural department of the Gomel town hall.
The programme of the Day will include the Jerusalem exhibition prepared by Israeli artist Andrian Judro and a photo-exhibition, Terra. A flight over Israel. The oblast library named after V.I.Lenin will host an exhibition of Israeli literature from the funds of the Israeli cultural and information center.
First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel to Belarus Gennady Polishchuk is set to give a lecture on Israel’s achievements at the Francysk Skorina State University of Gomel. The Day of Israeli Culture will end up with a concert embracing town bands and singer of Israeli songs Anna Shalyutina. Attending the concert will be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Belarus Eduard Shapira.
The Day of Israeli Culture has been organized by the Israeli cultural and information center jointly with the Embassy of the State of Israel to Belarus, the Gomel town hall and the Jewish community of the town.
